When working with individuals who experience dementia, communication can be very difficult as the disease advances. Forgetfulness, agitation, repetition, and mood fluctuations can make care stressful and frustrating. This session will feature common communication problems caused by Alzheimer's disease and other dementias and review strategies for better interactions.
