This class focuses on a crucial aspect of post combat operational stress or trauma -- difficulties in establishing intimate relations and engaging in sexual behavior.
Course Objective:

be able to approach the topics of intimacy and sexuality in initial interviews, at the outset of therapy, with patients experiencing post-combat stress or trauma.

be able to enumerate at least four presenting symptoms of post-combat hyposexuality and hypersexuality

be able to describe at least four treatment options for post-combat hyposexuality and hypersexuality

be able to identify at least three precipitating causes of sexual desire disorders related to combat or a combat environment
